Michael Stehr
“City Slicker”
Art Exhibit
Saturday, November 12
Michael Stehr returns to the Piedmont Center for the Arts with a new art exhibit entitled "City Slicker," based upon oil paintings of city scenes primarily in San Francisco.
The exhibit includes 27 new paintings, the bulk of which were inspired by a morning stroll on The Embarcadero in San Francisco. Encounters with streetcars and unexpected views of the Bay Bridge provided urban inspiration for this group of paintings where urban living is the subject.
Also included are cityscapes and view paintings that depict vistas that are part of the experience of living in the Bay Area.
The exhibit will be open to the public: Saturdays and Sundays, November 12-13 and November 19-20 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.
** Artist Michael Stehr will also be presenting the third talk in the Art Center's Speaker Series on January 20, 2017. His talk is entitled: “Bernini, Borromini, and the Relationship that Shaped Baroque Rome." More Information about this event will be available soon. **
