Berkeley Symphony & Friends opens 6th season with Matthew Szemela Quartet
Now in its sixth year at the Piedmont Center for the Arts, Berkeley Symphony & Friends will perform an opening concert on Sunday, September 23 at 5 p.m.
Matthew Szemela, a violinist with Berkeley Symphony will perform with a hand-selected quartet under the name Vitamin Em.
The musicians will be Eugenia Wie, violin; Emily Onderdonk, viola; and Michael Graham, cello.
The program of music includes:
Mozart: “Dissonance” Quartet
Vivaldi: “Autumn” from The Four Seasons
Handel-Halvorsen: Passacaglia
